Name: Alpha House

Description: Alpha House is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe haven for women in times of crisis. Alpha House is a temporary emergency shelter for abused or battered women without or with children (no boys older than 12 years old) that provides 3-14 days stay. Will help with shelter, food, transportation to a safe location if needed, and point you in the direction to start new.

Who is eligible: No boys over age 12

Fees: No Fee

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9:00am - 1:00pm Walk-ins only during business hours.

Description: Provides group and individual adult mentoring services, crisis intervention, resource and referral, long-term follow up, and gang prevention program.

Who is eligible: Participants include families transitioning from welfare and child protective services, families and youth impacted by gang violence and abuse, ex-offenders, emancipating/emancipated foster youth, pregnant/parenting youth, and other at-risk individuals.
