Provides a 10-day encampment at USMC Camp Pendleton under leadership of Marine instructors. Eligible individuals must be youth between the ages of 14 and 17. Youth devote time training with program instructors on fitness, leadership and teamwork in the summer prior to the 10-day summer encampment at USMC Camp Pendleton. At encampment, youth will participate in physical conditioning exercises, first aid instruction, supervised swimming exercise, leadership classes, organized recreation, and a bivouac (camping out). 

Who is eligible: Healthy boy or girl between the ages of 14 and 17, minor must not be in the juvenile justice system
